Drawing Angular Line In AutoCAD
Hello Noobsters, today we are going to learn about How To Draw Angular Line in AutoCAD With the line command.
To draw an angular line the method we use known as polar coordinates method, to draw angular line polar coordinate that the form with distance < angle, to type < symbol on your keyboard entries just press Shift key and comma symbol.
For example I want to draw a line of length 50 mm with the angle of 30 degree. So you have to use command L (line) and Enter, next specify first point - you can use absolute coordinate system or just put the first point by clicking anywhere on your screen. To add angle on the line give value with the help of @ symbol and give the distance value, in this case 50 mm so just type @50 on the command prompt and and add < (to add angle) and specify the amount of angle you want to draw. As I mentioned before, we are going to make an angular line with 50mm length and 30 degree angle. The full command would be : @50<30. And then press Enter. To end command just press Enter again.
To make sure of your angular line value you need to measuring it, to check the angle create another line at the edge of the line (first point) so there would be a 90 degree line under the angular line. To measure the angle use command : DAN (Dimension Angular) to measure the angle, and then select both line by clicking them and you will see the value of degree appears. If the value coming with right number as you wanted that means you have created your angular successfully.
Bonus Tip
The simpliest way to draw object with line command known as direct entry method. Just click on line toolbar or type L on your command prompt, when the command prompt asks you to specify the first point just click anywhere on the screen. Next step is giving direction (right/left, up, down) of the next point to go and give it dimension, for example you want to draw 50x50 square the just type 50 and hit Enter. Direct the next point by pointing the cursor to another direction and then give it value-and hit Enter again. Repeat this action until you see a half finished square, to close the square just type C on the command prompt and press Enter. See? now you have made a 50x50 square so quickly.
