Introduction To Wireshark
Wireshark is a network protocol analyzer for Unix and Windows, formerly known as Ethereal. It captures packets in real time and display them in human-readable format. Wireshark includes filters, color-coding and other features that let you dig deep into network traffic and inspect individual packets.
Wireshark is a free and open-source packet analyzer tool. It is used for network troubleshooting, analysis, software and communications protocol development, and education.
You can download Wireshark for Windows or Mac OS X from its official website. If you’re using Linux or another UNIX-like system, you’ll probably find Wireshark in its package repositories. Like when you’re using Ubuntu, you’ll find Wireshark in the Ubuntu Software Center.
